Welcome to Lake Fyans.

Here we’ve compiled some of the great things to do if you’re looking to get out and explore, as well as some of the key park rules to make sure your stay is enjoyable.

Lake Fyans Holiday Park is centrally located between the towns of Halls Gap and Stawell, with larger regional towns such as Horsham and Ballarat a great day trip for exploring.

We’re conveniently and proudly also located close to the beautiful wonders of the Grampians.
People travel from all over the country to explore the lookouts, waterfalls, walks & national parks.

Park Rules

RECEPTION OPENING HOURS

  • Reception is open daily from 8:00am until 6:30pm, there are exceptions such as Christmas Day, if we have been called away or need to be outside there is a buzzer located near the reception entry which rings through to us, you are welcome to use this during our opening hours.
  • Over the summer holidays and most long weekends, our reception has extended hours.
  • We offer a contactless check-in process to accommodate late arrivals.

WHAT IF I NEED ASSISTANCE OUTSIDE RECEPTION HOURS?

  • There is always someone on duty, so if reception is closed please press the buzzer at the front door or call us on 5356 6230. Please be respectful that we also need to unwind at the end of a day so ringing of the buzzer outside reception hours should only be used if Urgently Required. i.e.  Illness, assistance with faulty equipment, however change for the BBQ or hiring pool balls is not an urgent request. Don’t forget to check your cabin compendium for tips on televisions, wifi and how to light the oven.

NEWSPAPERS

  • For those of us who still prefer to read in black and white hard copy we have daily deliveries of the Herald Sun. During busier periods we do recommend you order one at reception or you may miss out.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES

  • Check-In is from 2pm for both sites and cabins
  • Check-Out time is 10:00am again for both sites and cabins.
    • Late Check-Out and Early Check-In, both of these can be difficult over busy periods so it is best to check this prior to arrival. Busy Periods can include our maintenance times when we have a limited time to complete tasks before the busy holiday period arrives.

Do you have WI-FI in the park?

  • As we are in a rural setting and getting in touch with nature is a key part of the Grampians we struggle to get ‘city’ internet.
  • With so much to see and do both within the park and the Grampians we hope you take time out to relax and unwind, however if you do need to keep in touch with family and friends we use a third party provided company (Net4) that allows access to Wi-Fi throughout the outside areas of our powered section of the park.
  • We are now able to provide 500mb of usage per day per guest.
  • The access code is NET4WIFI, technical difficulties will need to be directed directly to Net4 their details are provided on the info.
  • If you need an alternative, then please see reception for assistance.

What’s the phone reception like?

  • We have very good Telstra phone coverage, blue tick or top pick phones are the best (these one’s have either external or built in antennas that are better for bush use). Note that as in all tourist destinations that during peak periods phone reception can be affected by the number of users and weather conditions.
  • Other carrier coverage can be patchy, however we have been informed that Optus is building a tower nearby which should help with added coverage.
  • There is a free public pay phone in the park and we’re always happy for you to use the phone in reception for the quick call to mum/dad (or the kids) to tell them you’ve arrived.

What to do if I have a MEDICAL ISSUE at your park?

  • If it’s an emergency, phone 000.
  • Advise us at reception so we can ensure we have the gates open to reduce the time it takes for emergency services to get to you.
  • There are hospitals in both Stawell and Ararat.
  • There are two medical centres in Stawell, which are a 12 min drive away:
    • Patrick Street Medical Clinic
