WALKS…

The Grampians National Park is just 12 minutes’ drive from Lake Fyans and offers panoramic views of surrounding plains, ancient rock art shelters, diverse wildlife, and colourful wildflowers. The beauty is best experienced on foot with walking tracks ranging from short easy walks to more challenging, steeper walks resulting in magnificent views.

WATERFALLS…

Rain in regional Victoria is always a celebration. It’s not only essential for flora & fauna and leaves a wonderful, fresh smell in the air, but it also makes the region’s waterfalls flow. The iconic Mackenzie Falls are only 25 minutes from Lake Fyans, the waterfall is one of the largest in Victoria and flows all year round. The fit amongst us can walk to the bottom of the stairs and experience the stunning falls from the base or if the “up/down” looks all too much like hard work then do the 900 metre walk around the top for fabulous views from the top of the falls. In the area there is also Splitters Falls, Beehive Falls, Silverband Falls and in the Southern Grampians closer to Hamilton, Wannon Falls and Nigretta Falls.

WINE…

Ahhhhhh………………..the taste of nectar………………

Just 10 minutes’ drive from Lake Fyans you can visit both Pomonal Estate for their wonderful Reisling & Shiraz (they also do great ciders) or Fallen Giants Winery, also known for their Shiraz, Cabernet and Riesling and only 20 minutes’ drive from us is Great Western where you will find Bests Winery, Seppelts and Grampians Estate, so get out and discover your favourite Grampians wine…..

WONDEROUS SUNRISES & SUNSETS…

The sunrises & sunsets at the Grampians in winter are sensational and those that can be seen from the edge of Lake Fyans offer a truly unique, spectacular, unimaginable, memorable sight so rug up in your coat, scarf & beanie and sit down at the edge of the lake watching the sun’s rays weave their magic over the lake & the outline of those gorgeous majestic Grampians hills.
